Test
We have a direct comparison with its predecessor, which we also tested. Click here for our test report on the V2. The V3 has become even more compact and agile. Due to the narrower tail and the narrower nose, starting is a little more wobbly with the same number of liters (here in the test the 74 liter board). I got used to this after a few starts. You sit/kneel a little differently on the board. On the other hand, the V3 has become much more agile thanks to the new volume distribution and has perfected all the attributes of a compact wingfoil board. We recommend the AK Durable Compact V3 for advanced wingfoilers. It is more difficult to launch than “non-extreme compact boards”, but it offers a very high turning ability when freestyling and celebrating maneuvers. If you prefer a board that is easy to launch, we recommend the AK Phaser, which we present to you here. Ambitious wingers will get their money’s worth with the Compact.
